Earlier this week, at a fundraising dinner for Catholic hospitals, US Secretary of State Colin Powell poked fun at Iraq's dictator, Saddam Hussein.

"This is election season. They're even having elections in Iraq. Saddam Hussein won," Powell dead-panned.

"In Iraq they don't have hanging chads, they just have hangings," he said.
