A young couple enjoyed their honeymoon, and then the nagging began. It appeared to be all about how the young husband kept everything. Bickering began to worsen, and then got to the point that the husband set about cleaning his bureau. He discovered a bunch of socks that didn't match. As his wife looked up, she noted that most of them had holes in them.

"Land's sakes, man !" she exclaimed. "How long have you had these things?"

"Since before we were married," he admitted. "I guess you could say that I had a lot of premarital socks!"
