How to log on to Firebird networks

This document describes how to log on to Firebird wireless networks.
  1. Open the wireless properties. If the task bar icon is available, click on that, and then click the "properties" button.
  2. Click on the "Wireless Networks" tab at the top.
  3. Select the Firebird network.
  4. Click on "Properties".
  5. Set the "Network Authentication" to "WPA".
  6. Set the "Data Encryption" to "AES".
  7. Click on the "Authentication" tab.
  8. Change the EAP type to "Protected EAP (PEAP)".
  9. Ensure that "Authenticate as computer" and "Authenticate as guest" are NOT checked.
  10. Click on "Properties" for the "EAP type".
  11. Ensure that "validate server certificate" is not checked.
  12. Set the "Select Authentication Method" to "Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)".
  13. Click on "Configure".
  14. Ensure that "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)" is not checked.
  15. Click on "OK".
  16. Click on "OK".
  17. Click on "OK".
  18. Click on "OK".
  19. Click on "OK".
  20. When prompted for the username and password, use the E-Mail address and the associated password.
The system should now allow the wireless device to connect to the Firebird network.
